Biography - Aki Saunamäki

After graduating from the Helsinki University of Applied Sciences as a logistics engineer in 2010, Aki worked for Johnson Controls' technology group in Finland. His main sphere of responsibilities included coordinating the logistics department. Aki plans to use this professional experience to help contribute to the Kalu Yala project, as well as to new, sustainable perspectives on doing business. Aki is said to be a creative and personable co-worker. Joining the Kalu Yala team gives Aki plenty of new challenges in a very different environment than he is accustomed to. Aki strives to think green and to use his supply chain management skills to boost environmentally-friendly and efficient process thinking. While what lies ahead is still a mystery, Aki is looking forward to all his new adventures, as well as some serious downshifting as he lands in Panama for his six-month stay in the tropics.
