Andrea Bonaiuto, age 22, grew up in Boston, Massachusetts with her parents and younger brother. She has recently graduated from Boston College with a major in sociology and minor in international studies. At Boston College she was in a performing Latin dance group and taught others to shake their bootay through zumba classes at the BC recreation complex. While at BC she gained a background in arts administration and programming coordination over four years by working for the BC Arts Council and the BC Arts Festival. As an avid traveler, Andrea can’t seem to stay in one place for more than a few months. Her determination to see the world has taken her to almost every continent, but she is most excited to be working with the Kalu Yala team in Panama. As an intern in the Community Outreach sector, Andrea hopes to connect with the San Miguel community by sharing education, wisdom and adventure. Plus, she’s stoked about skipping the Boston winter and sticking around the 80 degree weather instead.
