Biography - Kylie Bechdolt

Kylie recently graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, a double minor in geology and geography and an undergraduate certificate in hydrology. Growing up in the small mountain town of Conifer, Colorado fostered her love of sciences and the outdoors at a very young age. Her passions are sustainability and water, and Kalu Yala seemed like the perfect opportunity to work in these fields. She is excited about having the chance to work with other people that share the same passions and is looking forward to being pro-active about sustainability. Kylie is also excited about experiencing a new culture and meeting new friends. She is hoping that Kalu Yala will provide great hands-on experience that will guide her in the rest of her professional career. She enjoys great friends, music, food, traveling, reading and being active. She is hoping to help with the implementation of the water filtration system at Kalu Yala this summer.
