Rob is a young Canuck from the Foothills of Southern Alberta. Currently in his 3rd year of Environmental Science at the University of Lethbridge, he has spent several summers working for Alberta Forestry during which he has spent weeks at a time living in the remote bush of Northern Alberta. This summer he spent running a crew of Junior Forest Rangers, a work experience program that takes high school students out into the Alberta Bush for seven weeks to introduce them to a career in natural resources. In 2010 he spent 8 months working as a research assistant in an Aquatic Toxicology Lab at the University looking at the effects of Agricultural Runoff on Native fish species. Rob loves to hike and the further he gets into the backcountry the happier he is. As a result of this he spends every summer finding new and creative ways to get further and further from towns, roads, and society in general. He is excited for the shellshock that will be moving from the Semi-Arid prairie of Southern Alberta to the Tropical forests of Panama!
