Ed Everett asks the question "Why have we lost community?" Common responses including jobs, time, money, and 2-career families don't cover all the bases. Ed proclaims that suburbanization, community, sprawl, generational change, and the privatization of leisure time causes it. He elaborates how we, as a community, used to have leisure time where we listened and did more activities socially, but these days those activities are fading while modern technology and new social trends have caused anti-socialization.
