What’s More Important

So last week I had grand ideas about how to bring locals in as we are trying to develop a new economy, with hopes that we could change the lives of some low income citizens. After much thought I realized not only that this task was nearly impossible with my weak Spanish skills, but also that we as the intern program have more immediate concerns that need to be addressed.
This week I have shifted my focus to helping solve more immediate and basic logistical problems such as transportation, materials, and Internet availability. My main focus has been on taking the time to notice what problems my fellow interns have been encountering and determining what things we can improve upon to maximize this experience. When I say maximize this experience I mean maximizing productiveness, effectiveness, and the self-fulfillment that should be gained by us as interns by the end of the summer.

How we as interns connect to become the most efficient?
