Being an Outdoor Recreation professional I believe experience is the key to life. When we are experiencing we are engaging, we are engaging and shaping our Quality of Life. The four salient domains that shape our Quality Of Life are physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs. Kalu Yala is shaping my life in each and every one of these domains. I have experienced more in the last two weeks than I might have ever experienced in my entire life. There is not a day that goes by that is boring or a day where the sun is not shining. Out in the Valley everything is made out of energy. The energy in the Valley is something I cannot even explain. There is so much energy with all the amazing people I wake up to each day. This positive energy attracts positive thoughts, opportunities and experiences that I will cherish for the rest of my life. To break it down and explain myself a bit better let me talk about what I have done so far. I have rode a horse for the first time, jumped off huge rocks into the rio, have made incredible friends, have learned so much about nature, learned more about myself, drank out of a real coconut, cut down bamboo, and cant forget about the awesome sand runs to repair the volleyball court. All I got to say is this is just the beginning. I can’t even imagine how my life is going to play out in the next 3 months. Definitely the start of something new and I’m just here to enjoy the ride and live life the right way.
